How did I find myself with a small business? If you had asked me 2 years ago, I would have said that I would never own a small business. But here I am! This journey ultimately starts with how my family and I decided to get out of debt. We have been following Dave Ramsey for years. We only recently decided to get "gazelle intense" at getting out of debt.
After I had my first kiddo and became a stay at home mom, we realized that getting out of debt will be tough on just one income. Since then, I have tried to find ways of bringing in extra income. I worked part time in retail for a while, but it didn't work out well. Starting October 2018, I actually started reselling clothes on Poshmark. That was (and still is) something I enjoy doing. But I wanted to expand. So I thought it would be fun to start a boutique and buy jewelry wholesale.
I started to search for jewelry to resell, but I wanted something I loved. I couldn't find it. So that's when I decided to make my own jewelry. And that's where this started. It didn’t take long for my making jewelry to turn into a true passion. I absolutely love to create new pieces. I love wearing them and showing off their uniqueness. Even more, I love to be able to share them with others. I decided to turn this into a business by selling my handcrafted jewelry in hopes that others may cherish them as much as I do.
I love the look of wire wrapped stones and wire weaving. Each piece is unique, even if the same wire and type of stone are used. No one is alike because each stone is it’s own unique piece that came from the earth. There is something special about a handcrafted work of art that just can’t be replaced by manufactured jewelry. I take my time to pick the perfect stone, use the right wire, and design the perfect wrap.
Each piece I make is extremely special to me. I pick each stone with love and commitment to making it’s beauty shine to someone who cherishes it.
